5 reasons to wake up at 5am

Waking up early can bring many benefits to your life and increase your productivity.

According to Robin Sharma, author of "The 5 a.m. Club," getting up early and creating that new habit in our lives is going to bring us many very positive results including improving sleep, being more focused, having greater creativity and energy to do everything on time without letting go of what costs us the most.


Wake up early

“ New studies and leadership gurus that confirm that getting up at 5 a.m. is the best thing you can do in your life.


For decades, CEO'S from the most powerful companies have said that part of every day's success is waking up very early. As early as 5AM. On several occasions, people like Oprah Winfrey, Anna Wintour, Michelle Obama and Tom Ford have said they get up at dawn.

Time to connect


If you're working from home, one of the bewilderments is waking up just before the time you start working.


You get sleepy on the computer, your day has already started half badly, you are not in the best mood and besides, you will spend all day in front of the computer with calls together by zoom.


Instead, if you get up long in advance, you'll have time to connect with you. and do some yoga, do your exercise routine, take a bath and you're ready for whatever comes.


Deeper sleep


You help your body heal with sleep, produce the collagen it needs

At this time most have a disorder with their sleep hours, which affects mood and above all, energy. By setting these sleep schedules and having a constant cycle of getting up and waking up, it increases the effectiveness of the natural stages of sleep your body needs to heal and promote healthy brain function. The sleep cycle occurs several times at night and is directly related to the way our brain processes information and stores memory. 10 minutes of meditation

A meditation can last more than an hour, but if you just start this introspection, with 10 minutes it's perfect. You can use apps like Headspace and Calm to guide you or simply join to the Genius Community that offers you more than that.


Energy boost


Exercise is an issue that goes beyond aesthetics, it's a matter of well-being. It's about do it because it feels good, not because of social pressure. Look for inspirations work out on Pinterest, Instagram, Tik tok, try them and enjoy.


Bye, bye social media


To wake up more (so) early, you'll need to go to sleep at a decent time. By 9PM you must be hugging your pillow by now. This means that you will stop using both your cell phone in bed, that btw is causing your insomnia. Take it as a detox of so many social networks and rest your eyesight.


ELLE tip: If you have iPhone, turn on "Downtime" on your phone and all apps will automatically crash. GO TO SLEEP!


Less sugar


Many of our anxiety attacks with food are due to lack of sleep, exhaustion and seeking energy source. When you have a healthy sleep schedule, your body has the energy it needs. Resting what you need, you'll have fewer anxiety attacks and a more respectful diet.


Proactive, non-reactive


Another benefit when you wake up so early, the night before you've planned what you're going to do. Let's say that kind of yoga you have pending, that cardio routine, and even make yourself that rich breakfast, have a quiet coffee and read to let you know what's going on. That's how you choose to do what you want, not what the day gave you. You can live with intent, rather than just consuming.

Peak state


It is almost inevitable not to feel the slumm with this situation. But I promise you that despite everything, you can get the famous "peak state". When you're in your best condition, you feel full of energy, focused and ready for whatever comes. Waking up at 5AM makes all the difference to get to this. You'll feel like you've accomplished a lot of things in your day and you've done it for yourself. With this feeling full, you'll get more well-being..
